Engineering Education Research Group: A Summary of Main Achievements in 2020

However, the way that the discipline has been taught is still deeply rooted in 20th century methods and textbooks. A paradigm shift in the way engineering is taught at universities is therefore necessary to ensure that bright minds are attracted to this important profession.

Exam Setting and Moderation Handbook
The purpose of this document is to provide a quick reference to the process of exam setting and moderation within the Glasgow College UESTC programme. This Handbook tells you the general procedures and important dates for completing and submitting your exam materials. This document also provides best practices that you can implement to help prepare your exam materials. This Handbook contains four appendices, which provide information about the programme’s useful contacts; comments from our previous external examiner; a brief literature review on Multiple Choice Questions; and examples of exam questions. These examples can be used as a guide to help you prepare an appropriate mix of design-based and problem solving questions for different levels of study. This Handbook is updated regularly, and the most up-to-date version will always be available from Moodle.
