This is a user guide created by the Research Governance and Integrity Team in consultation with the Library Open Research team and the Good Research Practice network at UofG. This guide aims to promote fair and equitable authorship practice, including how to adopt a contributor role framework (using CRediT as an example), so that all contributions can be recognised appropriately.

Researchers can use this form to record the necessary deposit metadata required for new data records in Enlighten: Research Data. Once completed, the form can be emailed to research-datamanagement@glasgow.ac.uk NB Version 1 was replaced with Version 2 on 2023-01-16. Version 2 was replaced with Version 3.2 on 2025-03-12. An additional form to capture extra information about data requiring restricted access was added on 2025-06-10. Version 3.2 was replaced with Version 3.3 and the additional form to capture metadata for restricted access data was removed on 2026-05-19.
