I have applied for and been accepted for the online MSc Blended Learning and Online Education programme delivered by Edinburgh Napier University. This 3 year course will commence on 8th of September 2014 and will allow me to participate in a fully online course with fellow practitioners from educational and commercial sectors. It comprises of 6 20 credit modules and one dissertation. I will be to experience and further explore technology enhanced approaches for my teaching requirements. I am hoping to gain further insight into pedagogic approaches and learn new technological skills which I can then apply to my e-learning development.

There is the added advantage of gaining SEDA and HEA Fellowship qualifications upon completing the MSc programme. These will further enhance my credentials and give me additional teaching experience.

I relish the opportunity to commence the MSc and look forward to engage with programme staff and my peers, to exchange good knowledge and practice. I always enjoy engaging with my peers and hearing about their experiences.

My job involves keeping up to date with the latest e-learning practices, new technology and software. To achieve this I will continue to attend webinars realting to e-learning as these prove to be a valueable resource of information. I also intend to learn as much as I can about HTML 5 and producing e-learning on mobile devices.

I enjoyed the experience of writing case studies on how I have used technology to enhance the student and staff experience. I intend to produce more case studies on software and technology I utilise in my working environment and share with my peers to encourage good practice and the exchange of knowledge.
